The House

We have a code to get in (too bad, you’ll have to call us to get it!).  This door is to the right of the garage doors.

If you’re there without us, you’ll need to turn on the water with the switch to the left of the electrical panel in the room at the back of the garage.

Then you’ll need to turn on the valve on the vertical pipe on the right of the picture. Handle aligned with the pipe is open (as in picture).

We now drink this water!  We installed a UV sterilization system to give us the confidence in drinking it.  It’s good “Town of Pincher Creek” water that is stored in a fiberglass tank for 3 months or less.  We’ve never had any grief, but the UV will take care of anything weird that might happen while it is stored. Make sure the plastic pipe above and below the filter is glowing, and the power transformer on top of the fridge is showing green.  The system comes on with the pump and water heater switch you’ve already turned on.

Reverse the process when you leave.

The Sauna

Please feel free to use the sauna.  It’s a DRY sauna which means you can’t put water on the rocks (there are electric elements directly under them that will get damaged – and may damage you!).

It should already be plugged in, but the Sauna shares a plug with the dryer in the garage.  If the display in the Sauna is dark, it may not be plugged in.  Plug is left of the dryer under the workbench.

Please stay on the “deck” when out for cooling cycles to reduce grass and mud inside the sauna. Watch out! The deck can be very slippery.

You can fill buckets at the tap on the back of the house for cooling.

Controls are just inside the sauna door.

Push I/O to turn it on, then push and hold the up for temperature until it stops at 90 degrees, and push and hold up for timer until it max’s out at 1 hour.  It shuts down automatically on that time.

Usually takes about 30minutes to heat up.  It will reach temperature in about 10 minutes, but needs several cycles to really get cooking.  Shut off lights and ensure exterior door is shut when you are done.
